Enrollment

As of April per-capita there are 11,762 enrolled Crow Tribal Members
Enrollment Application Process
  1. Complete the application including everything required from the check off list.
  2. The Research Specialist will review application for eligibility.
  3. A meeting to review application will then follow after the deadline for enrollment .
  4. The applicant will receive a letter in the mail to notify the application was approved or disapproved.
The Enrollment Application requires: original birth certificate, Marriage License or Paternity Statement, Certificate of Indian Blood of parent enrolled in another tribe, letter stating that applicant does not have application pending nor applicant is enrolled in tribe, applicants family tree, blood degree chart, info such as dates and signatures of enrolled parent/legal guardian and other info required are complete, pertinent documents are all enclosed

Crow Constitution - ARTICLE III — MEMBERSHIP

 

Section 1. Membership Criteria. The Crow Tribal General Council shall have the inherent authority to determine membership of the Crow Tribe of Indians. Membership shall be determined as follows: all persons who possess one-quarter (1/4) Crow Indian blood or more; or all those persons who are enrolled as Crow Indians on the date of passage of this Constitution; or all descendants of such Crow Indians referred to above with the enrollment status and benefits of such descendants determined by the Crow Tribal Enrollment Ordinance.

Section 2. Dual Membership Prohibited. No person who is or becomes a member of another tribe, band or group of Indians shall be eligible for enrollment in the Crow Tribe of Indians unless he/she shall first relinquish in writing all rights to membership in such other tribe, band or group of Indians.

Section 3. Enrollment Ordinance. The Crow Tribal General Council shall have the power to adopt ordinances, consistent with this Constitution, governing future membership and loss of membership of members
