The basic
purpose for the Crow Tribe JOM Program is to
provide supplementary financial assistance
to implement an educational plan designed to
meet the specialized and unique educational
needs of Indian children attending a public
school system and provide for the
culturally-related and supplementary
academic needs of the Indian children.
The vision of JOM is to provide programs
designed to provide Indians with the support
systems they need to be successful and be
proficient in reading and math as well as to
increase attendance for all Indian children.

BASIC TASK:
|
- To serve parents and establish
Indian Education Committees to form
partnership and cooperation between
their school on establishing an
educational plan.
- To implement the educational
programs designed by IEC to increase
proficiency in reading and math.
- To increase student attendance,
enrollment, retention and graduation
rate.
- To enhance cultural awareness and
pride by participation in cultural and
language activities.

DELIVERABLES:
|
- Accountability for B.I.A Johnson
O’Malley Monies and contracts for FY
Award
- Crow Tribe Finance Department will
provide technical assistance with the
Financial Data/ budget allocations for
funding of all planned and actual
expenditures as stated in the JOM
contracts with the public schools.
|
- Provide all school districts
reimbursement of full allotted
amounts in contracts.
- Provide compliance as stated by
BIA and audit review, record
management complimented.
|
- Contract
School will provide project application
and regulations to assess quality and
effectiveness of services provided.
|
- Provide standardized reading and
math scores to determine the gains
made by the students.
- Provide experiences to increase
reading/math proficiency.
- Provide motivation and incentive
for increased attendance
- Provide adequate communication
and partnership with the Indian
Education Committee in establishing
the Education Plan in the contract
- Provide on file documentation of
student count
- Provide student participation in
culture and language related
experiences
- Provide support for monthly IEC
meetings, documentation of minutes

- Crow Tribe JOM Office will provide
administrative assistance with
contracts/forms and technical support
for JOM Programs
|
- Review and approve
proposals/contracts in compliance
with the needs assessment for each
school
- Monitoring of objectives,
reimbursement vouchers from
contracts and financial compliance
of the JOM program
- Develop and monitor filing and
reporting system for the program
- Establish a professional
standard for all documents
- Provide ongoing Parental Support
and Training on
roles/responsibilities of the Indian
Education Committee and to enhance
parent involvement commitment
