The Crow Tribal
Higher Education Program provides Financial
Assistance to eligible students to attend
higher institutions of learning, College or
university. To qualify, students must be
enrolled members and possess a high school
diploma or a GED certificate, and accepted
to an accredited college or university, show
financial need as determined by the college
or university’s financial aid office (needs
Analysis), actively pursuing an
undergraduate degree, summit a complete
application packet and meet both deadlines,
must carry a minimum of 12 credits and
maintain a minimum of 2.0 grade point
average (GPA).
Basic Task:
To
ensure equal access for all tribal
members to higher education
opportunities available locally,
regionally and nationally.
To
improve the delivery of higher education
services through better coordination of
all supplemental educational funds so
that the financial aid needs of Crow
Students may be met.
Deliverables:
The Crow Tribal
Education Committee shall serve as the Board
of directors for the Crow Higher Education
Program. All recommendations of student’s
eligibility for financial assistance are
submitted to the board for final approval.
The board monitors the implementation and
evaluation of educationally related programs
for Crow people in order to insure the
improvement of quality of educational
training opportunities and delivery of
related counseling, information, and
intermediary services.
