The Crow Tribe
Adult Vocational Training program provides
Financial Assistance to eligible students to
attend institutions, apprenticeship
programs, on-the-job training courses which
do not exceed twenty-four (24) months in
length, with the exception that Registered
Nurses training me be for periods not to
exceed thirty-six months. To qualify,
students must be enrolled members and
possess a high school diploma or a GED
certificate.
Basic Task:
To
improve the opportunities for eligible
Indians on the Crow Reservation to
acquire the Job skills necessary to
retain permanent employment.
To
improve the quality of the Vocational
Training, and job placement
opportunities and service for all
eligible Indians on the Crow
Reservation.
To
provide Crow Tribal representative a
viable role in the planning,
implementation and monitoring of the
administration of the Employment
Assistance Program.
To
improve the delivery of counseling,
and coordination services with
training centers, vocational
programs and job sites, for the Crow
Reservation eligible population, and
to insure the participants financial
needs are adequate.
Deliverables:
The Crow Tribal Education Committee shall
serve as the advisory Board fort the Crow
Tribe Adult Vocational Training program. All
recommendations of student’s eligibility for
financial assistance are submitted to the
board for final approval. The board monitors
the implementation and evaluation of
educationally related programs for Crow
people in order to insure the improvement of
the quality of educational training
opportunities and delivery of related
counseling, information, and intermediary
services.
